Countdown to Ethical Fashion Show Paris, France


After successfully presenting 5 Nigerian designers at the Nigeria Fashion Show in Dublin, Ireland in August, Legendary Gold Limited moves the train to the World’s fashion capital, Paris. The Nigeria Fashion Show comes up as part of the Ethical Fashion Show at the prestigious Carrousel du Louvre on the 8th of September, 2012.

Ethical Fashion Show is the second biggest show in Paris, France. It is a unique international platform for designers and fashion accessories producers to present their collection and exhibit their products to the French fashion audience, buyers, fashion journalists and a diversified wider French audience.

Nigeria Fashion Show in Paris will be chaired by the Honourable Minister of Tourism, Culture & National Orientation, Chief Edem Duke. Special Guest of Honour is Her Excellency, Mrs Obioma Imoke,  First Lady of Cross Rivers State. Chief Host is the Nigerian Ambassador to France & his lovely wife Mr & Mrs Akin O. Fayomi.

The 3 designers that will present their collections during this exclusive event include Keto Couture,O'godor and Sally Intiego.

Keto couture is a creative label that is fast making an in-road into the international market. It makes elegant designs for both genders and with electrifying effects that only reflects the nobility of the clientele. Keto couture is based in Abuja, Nigeria.  Below are 2 of her designs:




O’godor which means in Igbo language‘good quality fabric’ was established in the year 2003. O’godor predominantly uses the Ankara fabrics as a medium of expression to create cosmopolitan designs that can and will compete favourably with its international contemporaries. below are 2 of her designs:






Finally, Stephine okeke , a 17 years old is the creative director of Sally Intiego.


 Sally Intiego is a company that features creative and unique designs. The ensembles are also elegant, classy and fun.
Intiego stands for Internal Inspired ego expressing that those who wear her designs will have confidence from within.

LEGENDARY GOLD LIMITED PRESENTS NIGERIA FASHION WEEK 2012 – “GOING GREEN 2”

Legendary Gold Limited in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Tourism, Culture & National Orientation, Environment and the World Fashion Organization proudly announces the official opening of designers and exhibitors participation for the Nigeria Fashion Week 2012 scheduled for the 8th – 10th November at the prestigious Muson Centre in the heart of Lagos. 


Those expected to participate includes Fashion designers, Textile, Garment & leather products manufacturers,  Makers of wedding garments and accessories like cakes etc, Producers of lingerie/under wears, Jewelleries, wrist watches, shoes, bags, hats, Manufacturers of cosmetics, make-up, hair and skin care products, Producers of Zips, buttons, threads, tape rule, Manufacturers of various industrial sewing, embroidery, pressing and cutting machines.

The 2011 event with the theme ‘going green’ presented 42 designers and 39 exhibitors from 22 countries. It attracted both national and international media. The highpoint of the week was the going green collection’ where most of the participating designers presented special garments made from recycled materials. It was to draw awareness to climate change issues.

Following the success of Iast year’s theme, this year’s event, tagged ‘going green 2’ promises to create a bigger platform for eco-fashion -or sustainable fashion as it is also called. More participants and international media are expected as well as buyers from Milan, New York, Australia and Asia. Nigeria Fashion Week 2012 ‘going green 2’ will be declared open by the President of the World Fashion Organization, Paco De Jaimes.

Pictures from the Nigeria fashion show held in Dublin Ireland

As announced in our Aug 2nd, 2012 post, the Nigeria Fashion Show was featured at the Nigerian Carnival Ireland. The event was held at the Carlton hotel Trellstown Dublin on the 8th of August 2012 and was indeed an evening full of glamour. Count down to the Nigeria Fashion Show in Dublin, IRELAND

The Nigeria fashion show, Dublin kicks off on the 7th  - 12th of August 2012. Nigeria fashion show is part of the Nigerian Carnival in Dublin.It is part of our bid in  Legendary Gold in promoting Nigerian designers and their clothing items to the world.
The Nigeria fashion show since its inception in Paris 2000 has created exposure and marketing opportunities for Nigerian designers.it is been held in other international cities like Paris,Milan,New york , Japan, Shanghai ,Washingston DC, Atlanta, Houston,Tel avi, Stochcom, Johannesburg, cape town etc.Legendary Gold will be presenting the following designers to show a collection.The designers include Charvid fashion n styles, Emak couture, Scissors and  buttons ,Jo-black craze, Ama Glow,Couture by Makioba

CHARVID FASHION AND STYLES
Charity Aiyedogbon
Charvid fashion n style is owned by Mrs Charity Aiyedogbon. Her label name was borne out of her love for fashion. Charvid fashion is in sections. The “ready-to-wear” section comprises of both English and native wears for male, female, kids and expectant mothers.Charvid sew in various sizes neatly packaged and dispatched to their outlets. They currently have 3 outlets in Abuja and 1 at Lokoja.Charvid also have the “personal Order Section” where personal fabrics collected from customers are made to specifications and delivered right on time. Charvid has a fashion school where interested individuals are extensively trained.

Charvid presently introduced a 5% discount card for working class customers and 10% discount card for students. It costs N2000 and expires after 10 years.

PAT ADELE,the brain behind Scissors and buttons was born in Portharcourt, Rivers state of Nigeria. Though she holds a degree in Computer Science, her passion for fashion got the best of her. Adele Patience, in the quest of pursuing her life long dream,gave birth to scissors and Buttons in 2007 as a result of fashion experiment.

Couture by Makioba was founded in 2009 by Makioba after her Fashion Designing training from 'House of Henri Fashion and Arts Academy' and an internship training from 'Noble Afrik' all in Lagos, Nigeria.
Makioba is a B.Sc graduate in Economics from University of Port Harcourt and has worked in the Oil & Gas Servicing Industry before chasing her dreams of becoming a Fashion Designer.

WENDY WRIGHT GYIMAH - The Ghanaian lady behind Ama Glow tells of how she got lost in the beautiful world of clothings and designs "Ama Glow is actually a hobby that got out of hand and became a fashion brand she says.'when i was a child i already had passion for the fashion industry. Growing up in Netherlands, i noticed that African designers were in a minority but then i noticed that my aunties and mom wore traditional African clothes. it was those many colors and symbols that inspired me to make beautiful ,refreshing designs of those dynamic fabrics' she concluded.

 Ama Glow clothing is an Amsterdam based Ghanian clothing brand made with African fabrics translated into modern and trendy,clothes for the modern woman who knows what they want world wide and for those who dare to be different.Ama Glow signature is the African wax print material and this appears in every collection..
