UYO RENAISSANCE COLLECTION TO SHOW AT UYO MODEL SEARCH

This year marks the 25th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State creation and
to glam a quarter century of coming into being, Kardynal
Kommunikationz producers of Uyo Model Search; a Fashion Advocacy to
Stop Rape and Violence Against Women, have commissioned 15 high end
fashion designers with roots in Uyo, the capital city of the state to
create one look each for the model talent search event slated for July 22 2012.

Before the special celebration erupts in September, the Uyo
Renaissance Collection shall set the pace by expressing, the elegance,
glamour and breathtaking style that the city of Uyo now embodies. This
collection shall symbolize,  a Fashion Journey into the Land of
Promise, and shall be showcased on the catwalk by the gorgeous
finalist of Uyo Model Search

The designers to showcase the Uyo Renaissance Collection include;
Feron, Dewillz, Basigz, Annies, Cowries, Panta, Gift & Glow, Comraphl,
Tari&Brite, Kardynal, Aniferaz Signature, Threadwox, Ima Signature,
Magbrani Bridals, and one other designer. The concept of Uyo Renaissance Collection,
according to Ubong Ekanem, Project Coordinator of Uyo Model Search, “is Kardynal
Kommunikationz’s way of uplifting all of us through such a positive
portrayal of Akwa Ibom beauty. More than that, the models shall bring
to life the beautiful essence of womanhood, which should neither be
violated by rape nor battery

LEGENDARY MODELS walking the runway to unveil Elizabeth Waldorf collection

It was indeed a great time on Sunday 24th June 2012 as Legendary Models walked the runway at the launch of Elizabeth Waldorf collection. The event was put together by the City People Magazine.
 
a subsidairy of Legendary Gold Limited, the organisers of the Nigeria Fashion Week (among others events) were there to show their support as they did what they know how to do  best: strutting the runway looking bold and beautiful, wearing electrifying outfits from Elizabeth waldorf.

Jane Ole is the creative director of Elizabeth Waldorf a luxury fashion and lifestyle brand which was conceptualized over a decade ago.

 A world class couturier that aims at providing clients with the finest luxury merchandise, made from the finest quality fabrics in the world. The label began operations as a fully registered company on the 13th of July 2010. The luxury label is dedicated to providing women of all ages with high quality couture from pre-teen to adulthood. 
The event was well attended. It had the president of the Nigeria Fashion Week, Lexy Mojo Eyes, Ovation Publisher, Dele Momodu and many other high profile society people. Not forgetting the beautiful Radio Presenter Tope Makinwa who was the host for the evening.

O’Mak Designs- Easily the most popular and definitional fashion entity owned by the Nigerian born Internationally celebrated designer-Uche Ibezue is set to launch Its flagship store In Maryland, Washington DC highbrow shopping mall, the historic Savage Mill Mall.

The launch which Is set for June 23rd Is expected to be graced by many A-List stars from fashion, media, entertainment and politics. Already confirmed are Nigerian fashion Icon & Chief Executive of Legendary Gold Limited, Lexy Mojo-Eyes,  Dele Momodu,  Publisher of the celebrity magazine-Ovation International, Nigerian society big girl-Architect Fifi Ejindu and a host of other celebrities.



According to Uche Ibezue” This Is the crystallization of a dream I have always nursed and prayed to God to fulfil, and I m happy that finally we are actualizing the dream today. I am so excited by the outpouring of support and warm sentiments from all over the world. We have created designs that easily can compete and compare with any other out there.”

O’Mak Designs was established in Washington DC about two years ago and has been embraced by many fashion loving people all over the United States. She presented her collection in Nigeria for the first time during the 2011 edition of the Nigeria Fashion Week in Lagos.

Among some of the stars who wear O’Mak Designs are Ericka Dunlap, a former Miss America and a host of other stars, Including Nollywood stars.

NEW FACES @ LEGENDARY MODELS

Legendary Models is a subsidiary of Legendary Gold Limited, organisers of Nigeria Fashion Week, Nigeria Fashion Show, Nigeria Models Awards, Nigeria Fashion Awards.
It recruits, trains and provides models for catwalk, catalog/magazine (general editorials), TV commercials, actors/actresses, film/TV extras, music video, ushering in corporate & private events etc.
Over the years, Legendary Models through the Nigeria Model Awards have been representing Nigeria at Ford Supermodel of the World Contest, Top Model of the World Contest, Miss Intercontinental and the Paris based global Fashion TV Model Awards. Some of our models are currently working with Ice Model Management in South Africa, Wilhelmina model Agency in New York, etc. 


 

As a matter of fact, Legendary Models will be on the runway to showcase the luxury brand of Elizabeth Waldorf this coming Sunday.

MONU & MONU FASHION launches African DIRNDL line in Salzburg, Austria

Simone Monu is an Austrian national married to the other half  MONU & MONU Ltd, Nigerian born international Actor/Director Nick Monu.
After initial training in Fashion in her home Austria, Simone attended the World renowned London School of Fashion where she first learnt and fell in love with West African strip cloth. 
In her native land she spent over ten years working as a designer in two of the Worlds most famous theaters, the Staatsoper Wien and the Burgtheater. This "theater period" gave Simone an invaluable understanding of the history and techniques of clothes making through the ages and across cultures.
Simone draws, cuts on the dummy and her early training as a seamstress means she can also make to the highest standards and more importantly in the Nigerian context, pass on her skills to her local staff. Simone Monu is "haute couture designer par excellence”.
MONU & MONU FASHION has participated in many shows locally (Nigeria fashion week 2011) and internationally. Recently, MONU & MONU FASHION launched their AFRICAN DIRNDL line at the AMREF fashion show Salzburg, Austria. Pictures of the fashion show below.
